take three…or four

we can also call this “power in numbers”…

every couple of years or so i “fall off the wagon”…and start eating meat again…and though i always feel soooo guilty every time i just do it…some times i just really need need need a medium rare filet mignon…mmmm

but recently, Girl Roommate™ decided she loves the animals sooooo much that she wants to try to be a vegetarian, and shared this w/ me, since i used to be a vegetarian, and am right now “the worst vegetarian ever” ™.  i have been toying w/ getting back on the wagon, and thought, heck, why not.  i enjoy being a vegetarian…the Kid is already a part time veg, and would be an easy enough convert…so we have made a deal.  we are going to meat it up this weekend, and start fresh…we are even going to find out about cleansing ourselves out w/ supplements to jump start the good feeling…(i always feel really good about two weeks after i go veg)…

but my real surprise came when the Other David™ decided that he wants to join us…he is far more  health conscious than we are and wants to go the whole non ovo, non lacto that i always pull (but i am hard core pesco…i just don’t value the lives of fish or something i guess).

so, wish us luck…we haven’t set a firm date yet…but i will randomly babble about it as we have more encounters…yes it will mean extra cooking and such…but i always fare best when i have a veg buddy…

My kid & I have given up meat (except, ahem, FISH) for Lent (his idea, actually, not that I’m any sort of deeply religious sort anymore).
Day 11 now; can’t say that I’m experiencing any dramatic health benefits but I’m sticking w/it — may make it a permanent change if we continue doing well…

i usually get more energy about the second week…

good for you! i always keep fish too. i have never done lent, but i have a lot of friends and family who give up meat for it.

thanks for stopping by, and let us know how you are doing!
