but I was looking forward to seeing Harry Potter and THBP this month. They always come out in November, IIRC.
When did it get pushed back to July?
Didn’t I just see the trailer in the theatre? Saying that I was going to get to enjoy HBP in November? Like, w/ my turkey?
Paint me disappointed.
Just makes the nasty bruise in the crook of my arm a little more irritating for some reason.

I’m not sure how true it is but it is said that the reason THBP was pushed back was because Daniel Radcliffe (the actor the plays Potter) is going to be performing on Broadway in a play in which he will fully nude on stage. Supposedly they don’t want a movie that is meant for a younger audience playing at the same time as a play with nudity when the same person is in both.
But the real thing to be pissed about is why The Watchmen movie is possibly being put on hold.
I thought he did that play ages ago, like when GoF came out…at least I have been hearing about it forever.
I am ready to be pissed that they moved it b/c of that ridiculous Twilight movie. That actor should have just stayed Cedric Diggory.
Yes the play has been out but if I’m not mistaken it was originally performed in the UK and this fall will be the North American premire of it.
Oh OK, now that I didn’t know. I actually heard it was a pretty cool play.
It has nothing to do with the play. Because of the writer’s strike, next summer’s selection is going to be sparse and the studio felt it would make more money if they released it then. Pure and simple. And lame.

Hah, wow, I can tell I’ve lost all my free time, as normally I’d be pretty interested in news like this. Sigh.
I want to know when they’re gonna make a film version of Kushiel’s Dart! >.>
And lame.
I don’t want to mod OuyangDan’s space, but that kind of slang makes me pretty uncomfortable… Of course, if OD is okay with it I guess I will deal.
Actually, you have a point, and I completely missed that, L.
I would politely prefer we not use that term. I guess I have been trying so hard not to use that it slipped by.
But I would LOVE a film version of Kushiel, but it would be so epic!

And they would totally mess it up. I mean, not just in the usual book-to-movie messing it up style, either. It is a series entirely about, for starters, a woman, who does things that are interesting. Then, to boot, she has lots of really amazing, fulfilling sex, from a young age, and nothing bad (as our society would see it – i.e. gettin’ preggers or a disease) happens to her! Oh noes! ^_^
But I just see it as a wonderful opportunity to resurrect the GORGEOUS male cast of Interview with a Vampire so we can all swoon all over again… ^_^
Who would you cast as Phèdre?
Who would you cast as Phèdre?
I have thought of that so many times…and it would have to be someone completely new. I don’t think someone who has done anything else really big could do it. Unless you borrowed a minor player from another big series set, like one of the minor player in the HP series.
