Llencelyn asked me the other day if they made a movie out of the Kushiel’s series, who would you cast as Phedre?
I say it has to be someone new and relatively unheard of, like a minor role from another movie series or something…
For that matter, let’s discuss the whole thing…

Ahh! This is why it bugs me that Blogger doesn’t notify me of trackbacks!
If it were possible to de-age him to the appropriate age, I would go Jason Isaacs for Imriel (I should mention that I suck at actually reading descriptions of characters’ physical appearance, so all suggestions are based on random impressions).
I have no idea who could play Phèdre. I am so out of touch with popular media right now!
Maybe Rose McGowan?
I just think she’s too well known already.
Someone younger and w/ less face time. Hrmmmm…
I am still mentally scanning the extras in HP. For some reason I have it in my head that HP is the place to pick our peeps.
Since I have been reading Twilight, I can’t help but think that (every time Edward is over described as beautiful) Imriel is a better image of a “beautiful boy”.
Who would you cast as Melisande? My (shamefully) favorite character.
Oh man. Melisande…
I mean we need a hardcore intense actress for that one. With the right hair color, I almost feel like Cate Blanchett could really pull it off. Maybe?
There are so few really powerful female leads these days (or rather, there aren’t any powerful characters for them to play…). And my non-movie-going-ness doesn’t help.
If Helena Bonham Carter had a little more of the “classical” features, maybe. She’s always typecast as a crazy person, so I’m not sure.
Also, I don’t care who he plays, but Christian Bale MUST be in this movie. ^_^
If I can try to imagine her with “sable in shadows” color hair…

Natalia Tena – Tonks! For Phèdre, I mean.
Ooh!! What about Kaylee or Inara from Firefly? I think either one of them would fit into Terre d’Ange VERY well. Bonus – neither will be known very well by the mainstream movie-going audience.
Er. Not that the mainstream movie-going audience would ever want to see this movie (done right, anyway) at all…
I think I might be capping out at a triple-post. Sigh.
