March 31st is Transgender Day of Visibility

Every day, many transgender people live in fear simply because of who they are. Misunderstanding and gross stereotypes fuel discrimination and harassment in the communities where they live and in their workplace. Hamtramck has long been home to transgender people, living and working with all of us, but too often we don’t even know it.
